How do Electronic Cigarettes work?

If you’re new to electronic cigarettes, one of the first questions you will ask is, how do electronic cigarettes work?  As with any product, there are many different brands and any different styles, sizes and types of electronic cigarette.  However, how these electronic cigarettes work is in much the same way.

The vast majority of electronic cigarettes have three separate components:
1.    Nicotine cartridge
2.    Atomizer
3.    Battery

In most cases, your electronic cigarette will look very like a regular ciggie.  To use it, you inhale just like you would when smoking a regular cigarette.  When you start to inhale on the mouth-piece and the device detects the suction and in turn sends a signal to start working.  The Nicotine contained with the cartridge is then heated by the atomizer component and a ploom of vaporized liquid solution  containing nicotine is dispensed in a smoke like vapor into your body.  The only difference being that it is not real smoke.  There is no tobacco involved.  Purely water vapor mixed with Nicotine.  So none of the unpleasant smell or ash as is given of by a regular cigarette.

The whole process is regulated and controlled by a tiny micro-chip contained within the battery component of the electronic cigarette.  You therefore get all the benefits and enjoyment of a regular cigarette without the nasty by-products of smoking tobacco ciagrettes.  You can even smoke an electronic cigarette inside and in any public place without causing a stir – no need to ever worry about the smoking ban again! The sensation is very similar to smoking a real cigarette and because you are still at the end of the day receiving the Nicotine your body needs, you will not have the urge to go back to smoking traditional cigarettes ever again.

There several other features which make electronic cigarettes the ideal alternative to smoking:
- Many electronic cigarettes have an LED light at the end of the cigarette which lights up as it is smoked to simulate a lit cigarette.
- Electronic cigarettes are powered by a lithium battery and many models are handily rechargeable via a mains plug-in charger much like that of a cell phone.  Some can even be recharged via your computers USB port.
- The Nicotine that you inhale is contained within the cartridge and on some models the user can regulate the dose of Nicotine that the electronic cigarette dispenses for each inhalation.   The levels of nicotine go from “0” meaning zero nicotine produced through to “high” which dispenses units of nicotine, which are similar in strength to that of a tobacco cigarette.
- Many manufacturers offer a choice of flavors.  If you are tired of traditional tobacco flavor.  Why not try cherry, menthol or vanilla?

How Do Electronic Cigarette Work?

So to answer the question, how do electronic cigarettes work?

Electronic cigarettes perform exactly like traditional cigarettes in that they deliver the Nicotine you need to your body.  However, they do so without needing tobacco, so there’s no need for any fire, so bare flame and no burning, not to mention no tar, no deadly carbon monoxide and no ash, no stub and also no smell.   Wow! Amazing isn’t it? How do they do this?  Controlled by a tiny electronic micro chip inside the battery they dispense nicotine in a water vapor which when inhaled has the same sensation and enjoyment as smoking and is a safe alternative to traditional tobacco cigarettes.
