Why the need for an electronic cigarette?

At first you may ask yourself: “Why the need for an electronic cigarette?”  I too asked the same question that was until I looked a little closer…

As a smoker, I’m under no disillusions.  I’m addicted to Nicotine.  Fact.  No point hiding from it, no matter how many times I’ve tried to kick my smoking habit I always eventually succumb to my cravings for another Nicotine fix.   It makes me feel good to smoke a nice cigarette with my morning coffee; not only do I feel relaxed, I also feel ready to take on the day ahead of me.

There’s only one problem.  Deep down inside I know that I’m damaging my health. Cancer, emphysema and countless other diseases all directly attributed to my friend, the cigarette.  However, the problem is not the Nicotine as such, it’s the actual tobacco cigarette that I smoke which delivers the nicotine to my body.  Now I’m not saying Nicotine is not an immensely powerful drug, it is but studies have shown that the ‘real’ killer is the actual cigarette and all the chemicals in that cigarette which I take into my body as I puff away on my ciggie.

So what’s the deal?  Well to put it mildly, traditional Tobacco-based cigarettes are poisonous.  They are killing us.  In order to get the Nicotine we need, we have to inhale a puff of smoke and in doing so we also ingest over 4000 chemicals, many of which are so toxic that they are causing us irreparable harm.
