Causes Of Cancer – Smoking Makes You 25 Times More Likely To Get It!

You’ve heard about this insidious killer, and you hope you never meet up with him.  It seems he’s lurking everywhere, though, because he is.  He’s the number one killing cancer in the world, and he claims some 180,000 people’s health and lives, every year.

I am of course talking about lung cancer but what exactly are the causes of cancer.

The Causes Of Cancer

Yes, you can get lung cancer by exposure to asbestos; its presence in your home or work puts you at nine times the risk.

Yes, you can get lung cancer arising from bronchitis or tuberculosis, a sort of sadistic side effect nature gives to those already devastating diseases.

Yes, there are strange causes of lung cancer such as radon; it can be a killer as well, although it’s a mystery what it is!

However, all these causes of cancer pale into insignificance when we look at the number one cause of cancer.  We’re dancing around the topic but lets get straight to the point and say it, the number one leader out of all the causes of cancer is smoking.

Smoking was identified as the leading cause of lung cancer as early as 1952; it has taken a tremendous amount of time, and governmental pressure, for tobacco companies to admit that there is a direct link between smoking and developing lung cancer.

It should be no surprise to us that smoking is damaging our health, after all it is now known that cigarette smoke contains over 4000 chemicals, include ammonia (a cleaning substance), carbon monoxide (deadly in any form, just ask your car exhaust) and formaldehyde (to preserve the dead.  See anything ironic in that?).   Common sense tells us that inhaling this cocktail of toxic fumes into our lungs must have some come back and devastatingly there is:

Here’s the truth: “A person who smokes bears a risk of catching lung cancer that is 20 to 25 times greater than a non-smoker.”

Sure that doesn’t mean the non-smokers will stay free of the disease, after all second-hand or “passive” smoke is the second biggest causes of lung cancer.

And you smoke.

So, it looks like your making yourself up to 25 times more likely to meet up with lung cancer whether you want to or not.  He’s heading your way, and the only way to head him off and escape is by quitting smoking.

But you’ve heard from others that quitting smoking is the toughest kind of withdrawal there is, especially those nicotine cravings, which can make strong men crawl for a cigarette.

But you’ve got a helper.  Your helper is a cigarette—specifically, an electronic cigarette or e cigarette also known as a smokeless cigarette.

Smokeless Cigarettes – An Alternative To Smoking

This technological wonder is a cigarette look-alike, a long white tube (complete with Camel-style filter) that is portable, reusable and clean and undoubtedly, far less intrusive than smoking traditional cigarettes.   You get the nicotine you need which it is worth noting on its own has been proven NOT to be harmful and you avoid all the nasty chemicals that come with traditional cigarettes and given what we’ve learned about traditional cigarettes, give me e cigs anyday!

They are super easy to use, simply inhale and it lights, electronically, just like a cigarette. No need for matches.  There’s no flame, No ash, No tar and No nuisance cigarette Butt – Just an enjoyable and most satisfying “vaping” experience.  You’re inhaling what is essentially a water vapor, made up of safe ingredients found in many food products in your kitchen (no ill effects have ever been reported on e cigs).  The beauty of it is, you get the nicotine your body needs, without the 50 cancer causing chemicals you get in a traditional cigarette.  If you’re a smoker you would be MAD not to consider this new alternative to smoking.   You know smoking is killing you so do something about it and try e cigs as an alternative.  No one’s saying you need to give up.  Just switch to a smokeless cigarette.

The cravings and the withdrawal symptoms are gone.  And after a while, while your body recuperates and regains its health, the threat of lung cancer will start to reduce as well.

Aren’t you glad you met e cigs, instead of the other guy?  Check out my top three smokeless cigarette brands and see what all the fuss is about.  Vaping is the future.  I switched to smokeless cigarettes about 19 months ago and have never looked back.  I was smoking about 20 to 30 cigarettes a day and since going to smokeless cigarettes I have become a new man.  My family are happy, I feel great.  I’ve regained a lot of energy and I no longer smell of smoke.  Best of all though, I know that I’ve been able to quit the thing that is known to be the leading cause of cancer!
